hello everyone!
It must be hard for anne, having lost her husband, and I respect that Christianity has got her through the hard times. I do think that if she doesnt want her characters she should give them to someone who is capable of completeing the chronicles more fully. I'm sure there is a talented writer who would be suitable to hold the rights to Lestat e.t.c Anne is selfish in my opinion.

maybe she is afraid that if she gives the characters to another \person she might not like what that person will put the characters trough... Also, since she is so sbsessed with Cr\stian stuff, she is not interested in letting the vampire stuff get out in the world, and believe me, I bet there would be a person taht would take on the vampire names she created and write more stuff about them...

I guess she has a right to her characters, I just wish she'd give us a real end to the story of the vampires. "Blood Canticle" had a cliffhanger ending, at least in my opinion. I'd like to see Lestat at least find peace. Unless the meaning of her books is that the vampires never find peace, continuing to roam the night for eternity and never getting any sort of resolution to their lives. But she's never specifically said that this was what her books were meant to do.

I think she wanted to expand the story a lot at one point, that is why she started telling the storys of Armand, Vittorio, Pandora, and so on... But then the whole cristianity thing came in and she changed a lot...

As I'm perusing Anne Rice's website looking for any news or announcements that might appeal to the members of this forum, I came across a link to her reviews of music, books, and movies at Amazon.com. On Anne's own site I found that link, and I thought some of you may be interested to know just what she thought about some of these things in the media. In the pages I'm linking you will find a review to movies like "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" and "Benny and Joon" for those of you who are Johnny Depp fans. (And who isn't?) Also pay particular attention to her review of "Interview with the Vampire." Here's that link: www.amazon.com/gp/cdp/member-reviews/AB4F6UHL20U95?ie=UTF8&display=public&sort%5Fby=MostRecentReview&page=1

Yeah, I'm glad that she enjoyed it so much. But then, she wrote the screenplay. I'm glad that she was happy with the director and actors.

I always thought Brad Pitt wasn't the best Louis, but that role was the best he acted in his whole career.

Yeah, I've noticed that Brad Pitt always seems the same in his roles. I wanted him to bring a little more to his "Meet Joe Black" role. He was a little stale in that one.

Brat Pitt is only known for his looks (don't understand why) and for being with Jennifer Aniston (in the past) and with Angelina Jolie.
