It seems I will be the first one to post here, so I hope someone reads my story. What can I say about it? It is a love story, there are some strange happenings in it, but the main idea is the two main characters and their love. Hope you will enjoy it. I will only post when I will get at least one commentary. Just say 'It's ok', 'lame', or whatever you think and it will do for me. I want to see taht you have actually read it.
Dreams
Chapter 1
The alarm clock was ringing and she woke up. But her first thought was not about the fact that she woke up to go to work. She was thinking about the dream she had. Again, that man appeared in her dreams and she was about to tell him where they were going to meet. She was about to give him her address.
He appeared in her dream seven years ago for the first time. He saved her form a vampire and she immediately fell in love with him. The funny fact about that dream was that, even if she was 12 at that time, she looked a lot older. After she woke up, all she could think of was him. That man was so beautiful…
The very next night, she dreamed of him again, they were in love. They were in high-school and very busy with extra curricular activities, but whenever they had a little free time, he was a real gentleman to her and she felt butterflies in her stomach when he was cuddling or kissing her.
She literally fell in love with him and kept daydreaming of him all the time. At least her time would pass in a nice way, because at school they thought she was a freak and whenever she would have said anything, they made fun of her. Apparently, thinking, learning and being smart was considered a crime, so she was excluded from every group. After a while she stopped learning so much, but nothing came out of it, she was still considered a freak. So it was fine for her to daydream all day and learn. And now she had a great reason to daydream.
Sometimes she was thinking if he really existed and they were meant to be together. She was wondering if one day she might bump with him on the street or in the supermarket. For a while she was obsessed with that idea and sometimes she was looking closely around her, hoping she would see him. But that never happened.
When a boy came and told her that he was in love with her, she thought she should get out of her daydream world and find out what love is. She was not in love with that boy, but hoped that the feeling would come along. But they did not stay together for a long time, because another dream would make her leave him. She dreamed that the man was having a fight with her boyfriend. They were fighting over her. From verbal fight they got to a physical fight and the man won. But when he turned to her, he was crying because that boy was still her boyfriend and he could do nothing about it. She promised that she would dump him for him. It was heartbreaking for her to see him cry. When she woke up she gave it a thought and realized that she was still not in love with her boyfriend, but madly in love with the man of her dreams. She felt guilty all day until she kept her promise and dumped her boyfriend.
It is strange how a person can love another person that might not be real, and not love the person next to him/her. It is like loving an actor that had a certain role in a movie. That is how she felt.
A long time had passed since any of her dreams. But after about a year, she had a dream of him that seemed very real. In the dream she spent a lot of time in a park and one day she saw him there and tried to talk to him. But she was too shy, so she chooses not to. Instead, she was passing by and looked at him every time she had the chance. He noticed her and instead of talking to her as he did all the time, he was arrogant and treated her like trash. When she woke up she was shocked. She was sad, but happy at the same time: sad because she did not see him in reality, and happy that it was just a dream and he did not talk to her like that in reality. For days, all she had in her mind were these dreams, specially the last one. She kept wondering what she would do if she would see him in reality. Or what she might have felt if he would talk like that.
After a few months, another dream came; this was pretty different from the others. When she dreamed him until then, he was blonde haired. But now his hair was longer and black, tied in a ponytail. At the ends, the hair was still blonde from before. It seemed that his hair was previously dyed. He had the same stature; his body looked the same as before. He always looked like he worked out. He was really sweet and tender with her. He lived near her house and used to take her to his apartment. They were planning to make love for the first time and he wanted everything to be very romantic. He took her again to his place after a while and everything was just as he said it would be: rose petals and candles all around. When she woke up she had a wonderful feeling: that of being loved. That dream followed her around and cheered her up whenever she needed it.
High school years came and she moved to another school. To get to this school, she had to take the tram. Every morning, especially when she did not meet someone she knew on the tram, she was daydreaming all the way to school. High school classmates were better than the previous ones. She was in an art high school, after all. Here, Goths were going around in the halls and no one told them anything. There were also rich “pretty girls” that were wearing really short skirts and the professors were talking to them or watching them. She never dressed like a Goth, or like a “pretty girl”. She was something in between them. Here she got to have lots of friends and got to learn a lot. She even started reading a lot. Her look changed so much that her ex-classmates could not recognize her when they were seeing her on the street: she cut her hair different, got s pair of glasses because of the reading and the computer. The man barely appeared in her dreams now. It is true that in the last two dreams, he had his old haircut, but the hair color changed to light brown. He was there for her whenever she needed it, giving her courage. The thing that bothered her about these dreams was that ha barely was in them. He just appeared at the end, smiling at her in a sweet way.
One day, as she was heading home, just as the tram was closing its doors, she saw a man that looked pretty much like him. He was running. She could not get out of the tram and it would have been impossible for her to run so fast o at least follow him. But she got to see him a bit and realized that it was not the man from her dreams. That gave her a lot of hope. She thought that the man from her dreams might appear one day and she will get to talk to him.
She never shared her secret about the man she loved with anyone. She told a few people about the dreams. Yet her love was a secret.
High school ended and she had to get a job and get in university. She was working in a clothes shop. The payment was not the best, but she was happy with that. In the clothes shop she could daydream all day and pay attention only when the costumers wee in, so they could not steal anything. Life was calm for her, but now, she dreamed of him again…
As she was preparing for work, her mind was still far, the dream was still in her thoughts. They had a lot of fun in an amusement park, eating cotton candy and laughing a lot. It was like a date. At the end of this date she was going to tell him her address, but just the alarm clock woke her up. Darn! She wished the alarm clock would have broken then.
On her was to work show took the tram, She put her arms around her purse so no one could try to steal her wallet while she was looking out the window and thinking about the man from her dreams. She remembered how one day she saw a man that looked like him passing by in front of the shop and she looked after him. But this man looked a lot older than him. He seemed looked he was about twenty eight. Or even thirty. Even tough, her heart was beating really fast. Oh, how much she wished that man would have been him!
When she got at work she turned on the lights, got the place tidy, looking great for any costumer that might come in. Then she got out her book so she could read, because she did not want to think of him for the moment. Actually, she wanted to avoid thinking of him as much as she could, so she would not get heartbroken again.
After a few hours since she was there, reading and assisting the customers, a woman accompanied by a man entered the shop. They were in front of the shop, where she was looking at some swimsuits. They both looked older than her with two or three years than her. She got up when she asked for the prices of the swimsuits.
She and the man were both stunned when they looked at each other. She felt like anything could make her fall on the ground like a leaf. The man accompanying the lady was the man from her dreams!
