Lucy, that is really a tough question... On one hand, if a woman does not ant to give birth to the child, I do not think she should be foced to. On the other hand, the child allready has life from the moment it is concieved, so the child has the right to live. Maybe instead of abortion, the children should be raised in labs and then raised in orphanages or given to adoption. What do you think about this?

I think abortion should be legal just because it is a woman's right to decide what happens to her own body. Society telling someone that they have to give birth is not right, it takes freedom away. As far as abortion being murder, I don't agree because a child is not fully aware of what is going on until it's already so far along in its development that abortion becomes impossible. The fetus has only the beginning of the brain and the spinal cord. This is when they are usually aborted. The brain does not become functional until the child is already almost fully developed. So as far as that goes, the fetus has no more knowledge of anything than a bug or fish during the time for abortion. I don't think they should be considered human until they are mostly developed, so it isn't really murder to abort a pregnancy before the baby even has its soul.

Actually, the Church sais that the child has a soul ever since the child is concieved, but I also think that you are right and the woman has the right to do whatever she likes and has the right to take a decision about giving birth to that child or not. In some situations, it is impossible for a woman, even in this world, to give birth to a child and raise it. Plus, people are still stiupid. I mean, ok, you make a mistake or something, then maybe you decide to have the baby and they all point at you with their fingers and talk about you behind your back. That is just stupid, since I think a woman who decides to spare the child's life is, to me, a hero. Not that I am judgeing the woman who comit abortion, because I do not think we have the power to judge, don't you think?

ah but then fetus has fingernails doesnt that make the choice harder?
soz i just saw the movie juno whole things about a yound girl who gets prenant...
anywho i rekon the woman should always have the right to choose
cos isnt she the one who understands her and her unborn childs situation the best?
and if she thinks that it would be a poor life for both of them then why should she be forced to have the child?
then u have to think about situations like rape
who with any heart would force a woman to give birth in those circumstances?

I admit that I find it impossible to have a child if that child would b the resault of a rape.

I guess that besides the fact that we both love the vampires and that u are kind, I really like to talk to you because you've got these interesting subjects to talk about and u really are into them, I mean you get involved in one way or another.
