Okay, somebody had to make a thread about this. I'd been on the outside of the "Twilight" craze for a long time, but then a friend loaned me her book.
There are two sides to how I feel about it. First of all, the fangirl in me says that this book was one great fantasy about the sexiest man of all time, Edward Cullen.
But the serious part of me says that the book was poorly written with horribly one-dimensional characters and not much plot to speak of.
While Stephanie Meyers is certainly no Anne Rice, it was a pretty enjoyable book. And now it will become a movie. Anyone else read it?

I saw no one posted anything and I wanted at least to say I never read it and don't think we have it here. I wish I could spend at least one day with each one of you and read and do the things you do. I hate this impediment with 'they don't have it here'....

I very much enjoyed the 'Twlight' series. I think that for being a vampire novel for young adults it's brillant. Compared to the vc it's nothing, but than again the same is said for many novels I love.
The charcters become more devopled with the books.

Yeah, I plan to keep reading at least.
Don't worry Lost Maiden. "Twilight" will be a movie in December, which I'm sure you will get to see.

Well after seeing the trailer and reading a interview with the director I feel better about the movie and I'm looking forward to it.

They've released a second trailer for the new movie version of "Twilight."
And for those of you with a humorous side, here's an enjoyable spoof of both "Twilight" trailers from Evil Iguana Productions.
